What this role involves
Mercor is hiring music evaluators and annotators for a frontier generative-music AI lab — from sharp everyday listeners to professional musicians and audio specialists. Depending on your background, you'll work on one of these: Music evaluation — all levels welcome (including non-musicians with a great ear): given two AI-generated songs for the same prompt, judge which is stronger on specific questions (overall quality, instruction-following, musical composition, production/artifacts, vocals & lyric delivery, consistency start-to-finish) and explain each choice in a few sentences.

Requirements
- Depending on your background, you'll work on one of these:
- Lyric timing — native speakers with subtitle/karaoke/transcription experience: word-by-word timing of lyrics to audio.
- You're a fit if you have a strong, discerning ear and can clearly justify your judgments. Formal music training, production/engineering experience, or multilingual fluency are pluses that route you to specific work.
